「間に合ったね！」
We made it！
（ウィ— メィディt！）
We の 最初の "w" では口をすぼめて突き出して、
「ゥ」から急に横に開く感じで。
it の後に母音を入れ、日本語式の「イット」にならないよう
ご注意くださいね。
慣れてきたら、made it の部分を続けて発音してみましょう。
何でもギリギリになる我が家では頻出の表現です。
上の表現は can を用いて
We could make it！
でも同じように使えます。
もっと詳しく言うなら、後に対象をもってきて
We made it to the train！
／ We made the train in time！
We could make it to the train！
／ We could make the train in time！
（電車に間に合ったね！）
というように表現します。
同じ意味を manage を用いて
We managed to catch the train.
／ We could manage to catch the train.
や、be 動詞を用いて
We were in time for the train.
ということも可能です。対象は電車だけでなく、授業（class）、
信号（light）などいろいろありますね。
ギリギリで間に合った時は
Just in time！ ／ Just on time！
ですね。 " on time " の方がより「ちょうど」のニュアンスです。
「間に合うの？」だったら、
Can you make it？
「まだ間に合うよ」だったら、
We (can) make it. ／ We'll make it.
／ We can manage it. ／ It's not too late yet.
などと言えばいいですね。
でも、間に合わなかった時は...
We couldn't make it.... ／ We couldn't manage it....
とそのまま否定にすればいいのですが、後悔を表したい時は
We could have made it, if you had hurried...
（あなたが急いでいれば間に合ったのに...）
と文法的にはちょっと難しくなりますが、時々言いたくなりますね。
後悔しないように余裕を持って行動しましょうね。
